Happy Soltice, Everyone.

Although the weather will get worse, the nights will be getting shorter, the daylight hours longer. Spring is only three months away.

Now get out there and hug a tree.

The message brought to you by the latent druid in me.

gotta love England in the winter. Sun rises at 10, sets at 2. Grumble, grumble, grumble.

Fortunately the trade off is that in June it stays light out until nearly 11 pm. Which is handy for stumbling out of the pub, really.

Tree hugger! :)

Happy Solstice, Kotori.

First day of Winter, and I am still waiting patiently for my Winter Wonderland. The mountain tops are covered in snow, but nothing on the valley floor, yet.

I'm still trying to find a ritual, to make it snow here.:D

No way! 10 am sunrise? Are you sure you aren't in Alaska?

Well, I am exaggerating, but only just the tiniest bit. Look on the globe sometime; if you trace London's latitude back due east, you're in Nova Scotia. We're pretty far north here; not as far as Amsterdam, or Glasgow, or Helsinki and a number of other major(ish) cities, but it's further than anywhere in the continental US.
