dr. blue and I, had a lovely day today. I made french toast for brunch at noon. (Not just any french toast, but thick sliced cinnamon-raison bread french toast. With bacon, real maple or blueberry syrup and wonderful coffee). Afterwards, we watched a wonderful video--- The Gift. She left a bit ago to go home and change. I'm picking her up in an hour to go to frinds to share Christmas with them. We'll likely get home around 11 p.m. or so, watch the news and go to bed.
When we were watching the video this afternoon, we were siiting on the sofa, with our legs crossed over each other and a blanket covering our laps. I turned to dr. blue and told her that I really liked being with her. I told her that I felt like her buddy. She said that she felt the same way about me.
Buddies.Friends. That's all I ever really wanted out of a relationship with a mate. Now thatI have it you can bet your sweet ass that I'm going to work on it all the time.
It really is very special to spend time with someone you love. Look at all the time we waste loking for love from some one else. Start with yourself. Then look to others to share your love. Remember, to have true love, you have to have it before you can share it.
Imagine trying to find love outside of yourself before you have found love of self. I believe that it is IMPOSSIBLE to love someone else unless you love yourself, first. Think about it.
Well, enough of that. I have to get dressed and pick up dr. blue. Merry Christmas.
