It's not often I say anything good about the Tories.

I was wondering what the US thought about it, and what it could do with relations.

The US authorities have not yet reacted to Mrs May's decision but American extradition expert Douglas McNabb said the US Attorney's Office would be furious.

Guess it is wait and see.

The extradition treaty that Bliar signed with the US is a piece of shit and should be rescinded immediately.

I never understood that position. I assumed the tories were nationalist, and do extradition treaties mess with sovereignty? Well, thinking twice on that, perhaps that is a slippery slope if there was a murder or something.

The problem with the one Bliar signed is that it's completely one sided. If the US wants to extradite a British citizen, or anyone at all, basically all they have to do is ask. No evidence rquired. If we want a US citizen, it's like breaking into Fort Knox.

Damn right. The UK government were told not to even enquire to have the USAF pilots who shot and killed several British soldiers in Afghanistan (Iraq, Kuwait and any other nation we've been foolish enough to be 'on the same side' as them in) extradited to Britain. This one basically comes down to the fact that they were embarrassed by the ease at which this young man swatted aside the 'security' they had on their system. They'd be better off employing him on a generous contract to teach them how to tighten up real security.
