You can buy an enema kit at any drug store or pharmacy, but be cautious about this. The bowel is a delicate process that an easily be disrupted by outside forces. If you flush the bowel too much, your intestine can become sluggish and slow, and stop working naturally. You don't want this to happen.

Restrict yourself to only once or maybe twice a month, so that your bowel doesn't become 'lazy'.

A little douching kit provides enough cleanliness for your 'average' anal encounter. The cheap vinyl plugs aren't worth it because they can't be cleaned and don't really have a good mix of pliable yet firm enough.

Enema's definitely work but if your partner likes anal a lot then you might not want to do it everyday. Putting a couple of drops of lube in the tip of the condom prior to rolling it on greatly increases sensation.

I guess you have to figure out what "spoils the sport" more: not having skin-to-skin contact, or getting an STI or other infection. For my partner and I, using condoms for anal is a no brainer. Even if we're both disease-free and fluid-bonded, there's no sense in risking any kind of infection or adding a bunch of time to cleanup for some extra sensation.

As to the no eating thing, not only would it go overboard as some here have said, but it wouldn't really help. Even starving people need to go number two. I'm not so sure if it's the actual anal sex, or the overwhelming number of people with HPV. Which is linked to like 90% of cervical and anal cancers. Men carry HPV and the majority of the time have no symptoms or ill effects. They do however pass the virus on. An overwhelming majority of women have some form of HPV.
