Thank you. The worst is over. My partner is emerging from shock. The last two years have been hard; the last three months have been much harder. Now, that's done; we'll take a mental health break next week, maybe an extended Valentine retreat. Meanwhile, time marches on.
 
Traffic around here seems much thinner than it used to be.
And all my subscribed threads have been closed.
I've been away too long methinks...or to some old friends, not nearly long enough :D

Laurel has put a 5000 post limit on threads so when one reaches that limit it needs restarting. Most are still here but under a revised name.

You are always missed. Otherwise you wouldn't be here. ;)
 
Went out this morning to start my car. Then came in and showered to warm up (feels like -20 out there). Laundry and housework on the list for the day as well as finishing a story I worked on yesterday. I'm ready for spring.
 
We're on blizzard watch today. We managed to dodge the last one. I wonder if we're going to be that lucky again.
 
We are gazing upon Reno NV from our room high up the only non-smoking non-casino hotel downtown. No, we're not here to gamble, nor divorce, nor climb. (Outside our 14th floor window is the worlds tallest climbing wall, sez the BaseCamp brochure.) We looped 3/4 of Lake Tahoe to get here, crossed a couple 9000-ft mountain passes, fought slews of Valentine Weekend tourists, and ate cheesecake. We'll recover.
