Who with any brains at all would feed geese by their front door? Oh, right, that would be my idiot neighbor. Of course, she doesn't take her trash to the dumpster (choosing to put it on her patio instead), so the disgusting piles of shit on the sidewalks don't bother her.

There is a solution.

All of the above?

Now THAT sounds like a typical American nutcase. If it bothers/disturbs you, a 'polite' confrontation should be in order. If it still persists, complain to the civic authorities.

If it still persists (although the problem should be eliminated by the above), you can't do anything about it.

Indeed.

I have just read through two hundred pages of my local council's requirements for volunteers to take over running a small museum.

They ask the volunteers to deliver more than they were ever able to do, on much less money, more professionally than they ever could, and to increase visitor numbers to a level they never achieved.

The sting in the tail? They'll reduce the money (which is already only 20% of what they spent) by 10% in year 5, and 20% in year 10, with no allowance for inflation over those 10 years, AND expect the volunteers to generate more income during year 1 from visitors than they ever managed.

Te ways of Local Government are many, varied, and sometimes plain Daft!

Pea brain administrators sum it all.

Three months in a row the internet bill has been wrong. Three months in a row I called to get it fixed. And three months in a row I talked to customer service/billing people who had no idea what to do. Calgon . . . take me away. Far, far away.

I think that's because either the previous people have left, or you have to be at a certain level to know what to do. Sort of like Scientology.

Dryer works again. I can't seem to write lately, but at least I can still do minor household repairs.

It's not making a plan that is the problem... or following it on day one. It's day two when the real challenges start.

The Weather men say that our weather is going to get bad for a day or two.
Good Job I have finished painting the shed, then.
