Erm., that wasn't "Telstar" it was "Let there be drums". Not as foot-tapping as the original by Sandy Nelson:

I wonder how many folk remember what the title was really about ?

Telstar was the name of the album and yes Sandy Nelson did a better job.

We had a great time, thank you.

Getting there was pretty easy, although I had to redirect to the parking lot I'd gotten a pass for. But even that wasn't bad. Fun, friendly crowd. I saw ages ranging from an infant (with noise protection) to people older than me (which included some of the bands ). It was warm but we had a breeze, and PennBoy was thrilled to see two of his favorite groups. Getting out took a while, but that's just par for the course for such an event.

Way back when, I thought that Ginger Baker was pretty good. Maybe not as good as some of the late bop jazz drummers, but pretty good. A few years ago, I saw him at a Cream 'reunion' concert at The Royal Albert Hall. He was still good. But I was leaning toward Charlie Charles, that now dear-departed drummer for The Blockheads.

Just my opinion.

It wasn't too bad. I only had to bite my tongue half a dozen times, and that was over politics. She's very nice in some ways.
