You don't have air conditioning there? I'm confused.

Do you have a spray bottle filled with water to mist your face and neck? Drop a couple of cubes in it and you're all set.

Do you have a tiny little hand-held fan powered by AA batteries?

Do you have a hat made of light materials that shields your face if you go out?

It's been upper 90's in Kansas. Cooler today, but warmer for later this week. We stay indoors midday, blinds closed, all ceiling fans going, air on. We go outside and play in the early morning and in the late afternoon - after 3:00 or so.

Self-service check-outs rock!! I wanna be a cashier when I grow up! :)
Well if the store has nothing but self-service check-outs then they won't be needing cashiers, will they?

Yes, we have air conditioning, but we do have to leave the house sometimes, and considering that at the moment the temp is 107F.......outside is not somewhere I want to be.

At the moment, back indoors, sitting under a ceiling fan, I'm feeling no pain, but for that one hour when we were outside, in the car, walking across the parking lot.........ye freakin' gods. It's not natural to walk around in an oven.

I had a couple of those little battery operated fan things, but left thembehind in UK.....(duhhhhh.I know).

The heat is bad enough, but combine that with hot flushes, which sometimes just completely disappear in the all-consuming heat, and occasionally it just becomes too much to handle. I usually wring out a tea-cloth in iced water, and wrap it around the back of my neck. Works a treat. Cools the whole body down.

We have more shopping to do, but we'll do that at dusk in an air conditioned mall.

:)

It's a balmy 16 here in sunny Scotland.

T-shirt weather.

But there again, it always is.

Bless you.

Irish gaelic is not my forte, but I'm touched.
