I hate having to delete PMs to make room in my mailbox here. Yes I pretty much copy them all into a big word doc, but it still just feels wrong to delete. In my Outlook Express there are 28,000 received emails and 16,000 sent emails. My Outlook at work has similar numbers. As long as Moore keeps doubling memory I'll keep saving. I can find stuff in them too, using the search tools. I try to place useful keywords in the subject line of significant mail I send.

You don't have to.
Go to the bottom of your sent or received PM page, and you'll see an option to 'Download all messages'....click on text (the one I use), and it will save all your pms from that folder into wherever your downloads go. Admittedly, the saved version isn't the sexiest in the world, very simple text versions in a wordpad format, but the words are there.

I was having a similar moan to Min the other day, and it was she who told me about this option. I had just never noticed it. Duhhh!! I could kick myself when I think of all the pms I've deleted over the last 3 years.
