Or sexual, one hopes?

Whether it's fair or not, math is on Dar's side. If one wishes to change oneself, there's one individual to work on. If one wishes to change others, there are a great number of them. Generally, it's better to work on oneself unless the issue is extremely vital and there's no other way to deal with it.

That's really hard to do when you don't know what it is about yourself that makes you invisible in the first place.

You are entirely too kind, and I could not possibly quote you while retaining a trace of modesty. How very generous of you.

As for the question of being back "for good," I can't promise to be a force for good in the universe, although one does try. Work, alas, will have more to say about the permanence of my presence - should they continue to relent, I shall try to stay in touch.

Well At least you have the ability to drop in now and again. I for one have missed you a lot.

Crim, no one knows invisible like I do. except I am invisible in real life. Sometimes it is just the type of day other people ar ehaving, or that They are distracted. It could also be that some people aren't interested or vested in the same things you are. No one is "ignoring" you to hurt you. We all just have our own lives and worlds. Somedays it's too hard to think about other people.

I wonder how many days I can go commando until I break down and absolutely must do laundry.

I never said anyone was ignoring me to hurt me. I simply stated I'm tired of being invisible... and I am. And it bugs me to no end that I have no clue as to why, so I can't do anything to fix it. <shrugs>

Thus ends my blurting for the day. Sometimes, you just have to get it off your chest no matter what anyone else says or thinks.

OKay, I guess I misunderstood.

Blurt: I am really fucking tired.

Note self: Do NOT buy HP anything ever again

This doesn't sound good...

I love my hp laptop but hate the power port in the back that's defective. It's apparently a common problem.

It is my iPaq handheld. The crystal broke and they don't consider it as a 'part' to be replaced on the PDA so they'd kindly charge me $290 to replace the screen...nice considering I bought the whole damn thing for $260!

assholes

I paid $200.00 to have the part that is loose replaced. It's a $5.00 part but the whole laptop has to be disassembled to get to it.

HP wouldn't cover it under their warranty, considering it a user problem (even though over a million users have discovered this defect) and they wanted around $400.00 to repair it. The cost of labor, don't you know.

I'm sorry your product is broke. Stupid HP.

 Sounds about right. Screw HP then.

I'm thinking of a BlackBerry or Treo. One of those PDAs are probably what I really wanted any way (email, IM). :research mode:

Unrelated blurt #1: Time to get Lost again.

Unrelated blurt #2: Bones was goooood! Now I'll have to check out the books again.

Unrelated blurt #3: Time. Just breathe.

Unrelated blurt #4: Very sorry that I was rude!

Unrelated blurt #5: I must not be late for work tomorrow!

There is a self-fulfilling quality to defensive behavior in that it can alienate others and bring about the very loss most feared by the person who employs defenses such as remaining in isolation or building walls to keep people out. Constant attempts to protect yourself can ensure that loss will occur.

Defenses, the very devices that give you room to adjust to reality, also lead you to lose touch with reality and distort the world around you, prolong your pain, and cause you to suffer.

So how's that isolation working out for you? Shall I help you build a few more walls?

You're not fooling me. Why do you keep trying to fool yourself?

I just watched someone do this, and to be fair, it did take hours to get it all apart and back together in the right order. And then apart again and back again when one crucial part wasn't in. And eventually apart and back again because when things are that close together, it's very difficult not to, say, accidentally run a screw through a wire.

That said, calling it a "user problem" really stinks. I hate the way that they do that sort of thing. They know it's not fair, but they also know that hardly anyone will have the time, data, and patience to press them on it in convincingly legal fashions.

So let's go kick their pasty white rumps.
