Part of it is I am having to use the desktop (lappy's in shop). I always have a hard time getting into it when I have to write using the desktop.

I bought the brand I did because it was supposed to be reliable. Guess I got the one out of however many thousand that has a defective part in it. That part of course is not the laptop manufacturer's fault, but the fault of the part maker. The tech person even expressed surprise that I was having problems with it because that brand is so dependable.

I have a Dell and it was fine until my dogs got hold of it. But since it's company-issue I had to go through the IT department to get it fixed. Took three tries. When they finally sent it to Dell it didn't take but a few days to fix.

The part messed up on mine has had random issues since I first tried to use it. Luckily, it's still covered under warranty (I think even manufacturer's warranty right now), and instead of sending it to manufacturer, I was able to use the tech service from the place where I bought it.

If they don't get it back in 7 days, they have to refund the difference in price between their standard service plan and their plantinum service plan (which I think is about $150). It's a nice incentive for them to get it back to me on time, lol.
