I can harmonize by ear -- it's the one real musical gift I have.

We'll set up a CD exchange ;)
Yes! Let's do it! Vella and our daughter are harmonizing Patsy Cline's Crazy right now. Gawd, it's delightful.

Their best are the bold and bawdy sea shanties of old, but you'll hang in just fine. I can't wait!!!

Oh MY Gawd! Vella plays dulcimer and has at least 5 Ren-faire costumes. She's totally from that time period, if any. Growing up in a sea-fairing town leaves her with a healthy repertoire of sea shanties, and when sung with the eldest daughter are just mesmerizing. I've no doubt, a third party would make it even more smashing! I'm enamored with each of them individually, but something really special seems to happen when they begin singing together. It's drool worthy, and that's saying a lot from me...if it's not about two-wheeling.
:D

Lap dulcimer? I have a psaltry (that needs to be restrung but I can't get wire) and I play recorder. I've got a closet full of costumes, too :) (every weekend for 7 weeks, one needs a change)

April...April....What's in april? AB, oh man of the schedule?

Frolicon (April 5-8), Atlanta, which we should do next year since Raven is too expensive with the cost of gas.

She has a lap dulcimer, yes, but her specialty is the full-on hammered dulcimer. It's huge, was custom made just for her, and she plays it beautifully. I love it. It's like being taken back in time when pleasures and life were simple ... all expressed with song and tune.

April ... around the middle, we're planning to hold the second annual Love Shack Litogether. Last year in March we had 13 or 14 lit personalities .. it was awesome.

Shit! They're singing, Santiago. Gotta run for a sec! :D

Wow! I have an album buried in my ex's garage of a group called Hickory Wind from the mid-70's that used a hammer dulcimer, and as I remember it's just awesome. Just a totally different sound! Very Ren-Fest, but as I recall this outfit had a really contemporary bluegrass sound as well.
