Is this where all the deviants hang out?

There's a place for us,
somewhere a place for us,
hold my hand
and I'll cuff you wrist
tie you up and spank your ass
somewhere, somehow,

sorry, couldn't resist

Hello alltherage, wondered where you've been. ;)

p.s. I include myself in the deviant category.

Deviance is the definition of a healthy life. Hi Ruby, I have been around just not alot. Busy busy.

deviance is the mere result of opening up your mind to your own inspection and embracing the beauty and excitement you find within

Welcom everyone!!!

I was just sitting here this morning thinking how wonderful it is to see all the new voices on this forum. Personally, I love the diversity that new people bring to this forum.

and of course deviant diversity is the best kind...

Somebody in the original thread told me I wasn't a deviant, after I decalred myself one. I didn't believe them then, and I still don't.

:p
:D

Question....

I've always wanted to know...just what are we deviating from, if we're deviant?

I've never understood that. It's rather like the whole idea that there's a "west" and an "east." My students constantly talk about "western cultures" as though this is a phrase that has meaning. West of what; East of what, exactly? Where's the middle of the world?

The first person to say England gets a thoroughly unpleasant kick in the groin. :D

Uhm.... actually, the dividing line seems to be in the Slavic nations in the North of Europe, and Greece/Turkey being the Mediterranean line of demarcation for the "eastern culture", "western culture" thingy.

And what we're deviating from is heterosexual coitus as the ultimate means of sexual expression, near as I can figure. That's why I refer to myself as a "Deviant".

That, and it's got three syllables to one syllable for "Freak". First rule of Political Correctness, as cited by George Carlin: Keep adding syllables until the words have no impact any more. His example was "Shell Shock" becoming "Combat Fatigue" becoming "Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome." See? Crush the life out of it under the weight of dry, clinical syllables.

That was probably me, and i still stand by that statement.

Risia, most of my chuckles are of the wry, smart-assed variety.

One of these days, ther'll be a way to put some kind of body language into this thingy. I was trying to be funny, in the "dear god, is he always this earnest and naive?", sort of way.

maybe I should leave humor alone until I get the hang of it....

:D
:rose:

In sociology class we discussed deviance...

My mind was on handcuffs and ropes :) Mmmmmmm

Did you participate in the class discussion on deviance, sd412? Did you astound them all with your insights into the dark and steamy world of alternative sexuality?
;)
