Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners."

However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands.
The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all Israeli prisoners be released.

Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually "thanked" the US by flying a Boeing 767 airliner into Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified. The 'fact' that Israel was 'forced' to let Atta out of prison by the Clinton Administration did not receive the liberal media attention that it deserved. Clinton's hand in allowing yet another murderous felon out of ANY jail was later censored or ignored in most news reports in the U. S.

This was emailed to me tonight. Could this possibly be true? Well considering it was Clinton....... ~sad smile~

As much as i hate Clinton, the events of 9/11 most likely would have happened without Atta. he wasn't the lone hijacker.

The Pilot of One of the Hijacked 9/11 Airliners Was In Custody, but Released At President Reagan's Or President Clinton's -Fiction!

Summary of eRumor:
The email says that in 1986, a pilot named Atta was captured and imprisoned in Israel for blowing up a bus. As a part of the famous Oslo Accords, Israel was to release "political prisoners," but was reluctant to let any prisoners go free who had "blood on their hands." One version says it was at the insistence of President Ragan and Secretary of State George Shultz, Atta was freed. Another says it was insisted upon by Bill Clinton and Warren Christopher.

The Truth:
According to several news sources, including the Boston Globe, which was among those that originally published the story, this turned out to be a case of mistaken identity. An article from 9/19/01 says that Second Circuit Court of Appeals records showed that the man arrested in connection with the bus attack in Israel used an alias that was the same as the name of the hijacker, Mahmoud Atta. Even that suspect, however, was not in custody so where the story about Reagan the Oslo accords came from, we don't know. The Oslo accords were signed in 1993 and Ronald Reagan left office in 1989. Additionally, we've not been able to find any provisions in the Oslo accords as described. There were provisions for the release of a large number Palestinian prisoners.

The original version of the eRumor included the Reagan connection. Someone along the way decided to pin the blame on Bill Clinton and a new, revised version started circulating with his and Warren Christopher's names inserted.

Thank you indeed, for your information. Now if this email circulates to others, they will know its fiction.

Who let these fucks walk around?

(Reuters) - Turkish paramilitary police have seized more than 33 pounds of weapons-grade uranium and detained two men accused of smuggling the material, the state-run Anatolian news agency said on Saturday. Officers in the southern province of Sanliurfa, which borders Syria and is about 155 miles from the Iraqi border, were acting on a tip-off when they stopped a taxi cab and discovered the uranium in a lead container hidden beneath the vehicle's seat, the agency said.

*What happens when all the evidence is vaporized into atoms at ground zero in Rome, Paris, London, or DC? Kill 'em all.

US Intelligence Agencies suck

You knaw, some time ago, I read the book "The Day of the Jackal", it seemed that the French Intelligence knew about the impending assassination of President Kennedy and did warn the US. But the US did not heed that warning.

don't kill the messenger....

Ok, I know freaky already beat me to it, but I took the time to look it up, so I'm posting anyway:

Comments: Well, if we're going to play the blame game, let's at least get the identity of the terrorist right. It was not Muhammad Atta — believed to be the mastermind behind the September attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon — who was convicted of the 1986 bombing and machine gun attack on a bus in Samaria, sentenced to life imprisonment and later released. It was Mahmoud Abed Atta, a Palestinian associated with the Abu Nidal terror organization. They are not the same person.

According to the Jerusalem Post, Mahmoud Abed Atta fled to Venezuela after the bus attack but was deported to the U.S. and eventually (in 1990) extradited to Israel, where he was tried and sentenced for his crime. His subsequent release from prison, confirmed by the Israeli Justice Ministry, had nothing to do with the Oslo Accord or intervention by either the Reagan or the Clinton administration. It was the result of a finding by the Supreme Court of Israel that Abed Atta's extradition process was flawed. The freed terrorist's whereabouts are now unknown, officials say.

Accounts differ on when WTC terrorist Muhammad Atta became a political activist, but in any case he was only 18 and living with his family in Cairo when the 1986 bus attack occurred. In 1992 he moved to Germany, where he met his future co-conspirators and ultimately began plotting the September 11 attacks.

The Jerusalem Post attributes confusion about the identities of the two terrorists to "rumors circulating on the Internet," but in fact those rumors had their origin in erroneous press reports during the first few days after September 11.
