I'm looking at this from the other side, as a pyl, but I still understand the sense of loss, and the inclination to blame it on being married. SO been there, done that!
Thing is, marriage is only what you make of it. Ultimately it's just a nice bit of legalese so that others understand your relationship (and tax or annoy you accordingly). But 'being married' doesn't have to change your fundamental relationship.
What does change it, willing or not, is time. Time together, time apart, time at work, time in Real Life, time for the new relationship glow to wear off. That newness can fade, but when you both work at it, when you don't allow yourselves to become complacent, you can replace the 'new' with a more...durable energy. It takes work, it takes attention and communication. We've learned the hard way that just letting life happen to you doesn't work as well as making life be what you want it to be.
Talk it out. Figure out what changed and why. You might not be able to 'change it back' but you can still set a new direction together.
