Make no mistake, if there's a draft for some unjust war nowadays, Gen-X won't roll over like the hippies. Draft dodgers nowadays would do a hell of a lot of shooting back, which would mean jackbooted thugs like MWG and WARBRIDE would be risking their lives to force their point of view on others.

This country wouldn't survive an attempt at another draft.

The draft isn't coming back. The military likes the volunteer army (works much better when people are there because they want to be there). Some politicians mention it to stir up controversey and get their names in the paper, but it's a non-starter.
