Yeah, we're way out in the woods here. I don't want to fuck a spider.
Anyway, my point to clarify:
Racism is a belief system. It is also part of our brain, that part that determines "us" and "them" and has been tuned over millennia of tribal affiliation. Throughout history people went way out of their way to distinguish themselves as "us" or "them" so that you knew the right people to kill. And they would kill you.
The fact that someone not of your tribe will no longer kill you on sight hasn't made it that much easier, because of course they could still rob you blind, as could any member of your supposed "tribe" because brains aren't that smart in the end.
I don't think it takes much to make a brain racist and a lot of it can happen long before cognitive thought arises. And flatly...it never arises in some people.
So for me...there's a brain function that was of use before civilization or language to keep people alive.
We still have that brain function, and now we have civilization and language.
I think the brain gets first dibs and civilization or language might change that later.
that is very well written and suggests you have formally studied the subject in case you have not you are awesome
socialization takes centuries and distrust of the type is passed down generations
