Is it possible to make an edit to a story that has already been submitted and is pending? In looking one of my submissions over I noticed a mis-spelling and there are a few other things I would like to change.

Yeah, I know, I should have been more careful. I thought I was. I re-read it several times and I just missed it. And then, right after I submitted it, I had some great ideas all of sudden pop into my head. Arghhhh!!!

So, is it possible?

Both possible and easy: Just submit the new version the same way you submitted the earlier one, but add the the word EDITED to the title (be certain the title is otherwise identical to the earlier one, so the staffers know which one to replace). Anywhere from a day to a week from now, your revised story will be up and running. You'll even retain any vote and view numbers the story may have earned prior to replacement.

Thank You

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I just discovered that it is no longer pending, but by your answer I see that I can still catch it if I do so soon.

Always happens. I was once responsible for preparing the service booklets for the congregation at the consecration of a local church (once in a life-time occasion). EIGHT different people proof read it, and I went through it times without number. Came the great day ... bishops in robes, dignitaries in splendor, congregation in Sunday best ... I opened my copy and BANG, a typo hit me between the eyes. It wasn't a serious one, fortunately, but it was there.

All my best ideas come just after the last possible moment for changing something. So I take the new idea and use it as a basis for the NEXT book.
