Submitting and publishing.

I have a question about submitting and publishing a story. How is it possible to submit a story on 06/18/2025 and on 06/26/2025 it is still pending, but then I submit a story on 06/25/2025 and on 06/26/2025 it shows published, new, 06/27/2025, shouldn't the first one have been published then?

I think there is a series of automated checks and if these flag anything then the story must wait for Laurel to look at it more carefully.

Story length, category, number of submissions to Literotica queued up, special time-sensitive events, Laurel's personal life, all have an effect.

I've had a similar experience. I submitted two stories within a couple of days of each other. One was published almost immediately and the other was left pending for a few weeks before being rejected. The rejection was based (I think) because it was suspected of being produced by AI. It wasn't. I've edited and resubmitted a few times but it's still pending, but with the rejection notes still attached
