Is anyone else having problems chaning Avatars?

I tried 4 times to change my avatar back to the photo with the solitary crow and it doesn't seem to be taking.

Just changed my av with no difficulty.

Idea: is it on a website that stops images being linked into other pages? Or is it too big? If it worked before I don't know what it could be, sorry.

I can't get mine changed either. I thought it might have been the image I was trying to change to, but it seems that none of my avs are working at the moment... I noticed this last night too..I wonder if it has anything to do with the Pink Lady problem...

I'm uploading it from my hard drive... It's not on another website. It isn't too big - as I've used that avatar before.

I just tried mine again and it still doesn't work. If he's on a dial up from an international IP he may be able to do it, and us here in the United States may not be able to...the site may be blocking our access...

This has been happening to me since Thursday.

LIT will NOT let you use a personal AV, but it will allow you to remove the AV entirely or to replace it with an AV from a website.

I email Laurel yesterday, and they are aware of the problem and think it should be corrected soon.

Have any of you that are having problems with changing avatars been able to attach an image to a post since Thursday? It will help solve the problem to know if it's any upload to the BB or if different people are having trouble with avatars than ar having troubles with uploads.

I can't change my Avatar, but I can upload.

As usual, Harold is the guru (no offense to the real, name brand, Guru!)

It would be helpful to know if the same people are having problems with the avatar upload and the image upload in posts.

In my case, I can upload images, but I can't change my avatar.

We believe we have solved the pinklady problem, so now I'm working on this avatar/image issue. The pinklady problem was just a small bug in the upgraded forum script.

I suspect this might be another bug, or something we need to reconfigure after the upgrade.

I can upload images, but still cannot change my AV to a personal choice on my computer.

I can collect and change AVs from a web address though.

I have been trying to change mine, also, but it won't allow me. As some of you have already stated, too...it's from my own computer and not another web site.

Maybe once everything is straightened out, the avatar problem will also be fixed, too.

So far, I haven't seen anyone who CAN change their avatar, including me. Only a few people can't upload attachments though. It would seem that these are separate problems after all.

I did notice one thing when I tried changing my avatar -- it "accepts the file" way too fast. (actually, I don't think it's even asking for it.) The avatar I tried to change to was a 10K file, but clicking submit changes only sent about 1K of information through my modem, and didn't access my drive.

I'm still at it!

I made some configuration changes to the servers a few minutes ago. It let me upload a new Avatar (snazzy, eh?) and I'm wondering if the problem might be solved.

Can some of you try to change your Avatars.

Also, can those of you who had trouble uploading see if that's fixed.
