A British study of 1,000 men found that those who had at least two orgasms per week had half the death rate of those who indulged less than once a month. Sex can make you look longer, too, according to research finding that men and women who reported having sex an average of four times per week looked approximately 10 years younger than they really were.

I think it's more than 44 percent, sometimes people just don't want to admit it.One Night Stands Aren't Just for the Indiscriminate. According to one survey, 44 percent of adults have had one.
Love and Sex Unrelated After All. While sex and romance seem like they should be inextricably linked, research indicates that the human brain clearly distinguishes between the two. While the study, by the State University of New York-Stony Brook, was small, it showed quite clearly that sex and romantic love involve different brain systems.

Cheating is Genetic. Kind of. Researchers in London have found a link to genes and infedility. In their study of twins, they found that if one twin cheats, the other one also will 55 percent of the time. For the rest of us non-twins, that number is only 23 percent.

10 Things You Didn't Know About Sex
By Laura Snyder
Sexuality is so complicated that there are entire bodies of research dedicated to figuring it out. Sometimes low tech, sometimes high tech, always interesting and contentious, sex research looks at subjects from aphrodisiacs to arousal, as scientists continually try to unravel the mysteries of human desire.
Here's some of the most surprising news we've seen lately.
Love Really Does Make You Crazy. Your serotonin levels drop, which explains your sudden obsessive behavior, while your levels of stress-hormone Cortisol rise. And your brain shuts down the areas that command social judgment (meaning love really is blind).

Sex Keeps You Healthy. According to research by Dr. Carl Charnetski, professor of psychology at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa and co-author of Feeling Good is Good For You, people who reported one or two sexual episodes per week enjoyed higher levels of Immunoglobin A, the antibody that helps fend of illness.
[Neat, huh? Good bye doctor -- maybe.]
We're Not Wasting Any Time. Foreplay generally lasts for just 12 minutes, says one study from the Journal of Sex Research. And intercourse? A paltry five to seven minutes. Before that depresses you too much, know that the average person will spend 336 hours of his or her life kissing.
[Eh, no comment.]

Those Oysters Didn't Do Anything. Any aphrodisiac effect you've experienced as been purely imagined (or is a placebo effect). A review by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has found no product scientifically proven to meet its sexy claims.
[Yeah, right! The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, huh? Uhm, hmm! So believable, they are, eh?]
She Can Be Turned On and Not Know It. Research indicates that women can show the physical signs of arousal without realizing it. That's why she needs mental and physical foreplay action. So next time she claims she's "not in the mood," you might want to double check.
[He-he! "During sleep, in particular during periods of REM sleep, which occur in approxiamtely 90-100 minute cycles four or five times a night, woman experience nocturnal eretcions affecting their clitoris, labia and vagina (as well as an increase in utering contractions. These tumescent episodes, which result from increased genital blood flow, parallel men's nocturnal erections of their copora cavernosa, and are evident from early infancy and throughtout adult life."]
The Pill Changes Whom Women Find Attractive. Ladies, the same thing that keeps you from getting knocked up - birth control pills controlling your hormone levels - also affects the kind of man you find attractive. Studies show women on the pill are more likely to choose men with pronounced masculine features.

As for me, I think 12 minutes of serious foreplay is enough under some circumstances (assuming we've skipped the kissing and undressing part). The 5-7 minutes for sex thing is just a joke. Then they forgot about the 10-15 minutes of foreplay afterwards. BTW, where is the stats for how long you tie your partner to the bed and tease them?![]()

Not that I need answers to post, just that I want a take from miss mused for now. I am certain her answer is more (no offence to you, Desi) but deep. I have read her posts (have you?) and she is never cut and dry.
