Someone/anyone know anything about this?

I can't get the music on my iPod. I've done it before but it was "hit-n-miss" and I have no idea how I did it. Now, I can't do it again 'cause I don't know what I did before.

And I don't know where the instructions are, so don't suggest I read them, please.

I almost got a cheap version at walmart for 28 dollars. But I'm not much of a music person anyway.

Okay sweety I am here . I also sleep with my iPod so we are on intimate terms.

If you open iTunes then insert a CD it should ask you if you want to add it to your music library, from there you make up playlists. Then you need to sync them to update the iPod itself.

How far off am I please in your current goal ?

grrrrrr... i went to the site that Nayla posted... I think I stepped ahead of that and now I can't do what it's telling me to do. I have the music on the computer in iTunes as "recently added". But it won't go on my iPod now.

So do I have to re-insert the CDs and do this all over again?

Maybe............ but first unplug it entirely , close down iTunes and then restart. It's also possible the files have transferred to some odd section of the iPod itself. I have no idea why this happens . Go to the search function in the music menu itself and try that as well if you already haven't.

I don't know everything trust me.

In fact :D I have a thread about my iPod dilemmas in the How to Cafe.

Link here.

Mr Midwestyankee has noted an excellent forum for ongoing issues on that thread.

The advice I have given you to date is concrete to first hand experience.

Edit Good luck Miss Rose , I have to go for now. I'll check back here in a few hours , hopefully it's all good news :rose:

Okay I got them on my iPod now. thank you both for your help. I've got 2 more cds that I want to put on and this time I'll do it the way I'm supposed to... I think.

I never think of looking in the How-to forum with questions like this.

You know, NAYLA rhymes with LAYLA and I was downloading Eric Clapton... I think it was kind of a Freudian thing when I misspelled your name. ;-D
