Insomnia sucks

I'm awake. Why? I don't know. Some cosmic being's sense of humor, perhaps? I was asleep. It was a nice sleep. All warm and comfy. Now? Now I'm laying in bed, disgruntled and considering things I typically wouldn't. Spite, thy name is sleep deprivation!

On a semi-related note: My dad swears by melatonin. You just have to find the right dosage. I have a natural tendency to resist sleep aids because "YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!" so I have to take an extra pill or two, but after a bit, I let it do its work and I'm out. Give it a shot!

Yes, I have been told of the benefits of melatonin and willing to give it a shot. ANYTHING for at LEAST 7 hours of sleep!
 
Another thing you could try. Turn your radio on. Find the place Between stations, ya know that rushing noise... Then turn it Down. WAY down, to where you almost have to hold your breath to hear it.
 
I use something called iChill. It comes in a bottle that looks like 5-Hour Energy, but it's got melatonin and Valerian Root in it. It usually mellows me out enough to stretch into a nice little sleep.

Oh! Kinda like a sleep machine. White noise to help me sleep...done that and don't laugh, but then I start to wonder if voices will be coming through that white noise like the movie. My imagination seems to get a little "out there" when I am lying in bed wide awake forcing myself to sleep.
 
Seriously contemplating whether to seek help from a physician now that I am on day 4? I just hate crutches. Have enough of them already! hehe!

Same here. Nodded off at about 10 p.m. and woke up shortly after midnight. Ugh!
 
Gym

Melatonin, Chamomile aside, hit the gym and workout.
You will sleep like a log.
Stay away from prescriptions.
Check side effects of Chamomile.
