If you don't catch it, you can watch the April epidsode online apparently: http://www.inthelifetv.org/inthelife/watch/

I saw the episode about the changing portrayal of the GLBT community on TV, and I just found it to be really well done and a good mix of perspectives.

I watched "In the Life" last night on one of our PBS channels...it was an excellent program that covered many different facets of GLBT life and focused on the marriage issue. It was very interesting and well done. Here's the website: http://www.inthelifetv.org/inthelife/index.php?MERCURYSID=07120cc3f243cfee8aa2268bb9cc083c

Did anyone else see it?
Yeah, great PBS program. In fact I've been watching it for the past couple of years and just keeps getting better. Yes, I've seen the "marriage" episode. There's was also another really good episode dealing with the Christian Coalition and it's encroachment (so to speak) on influencing public schools & school boards against anything GLBT. Fortunately, many of their episodes are repeated and you might be able to catch it second time around. Thanks for sharing this.

I wish I had known about it sooner! I think it's pretty telling that it was on the "secondary" PBS channel at 12:30 am, and the next airing will be January 29 in as liberal of an area as Seattle. I did write the programming manager of the channel praising the show and requesting they air it more often, so hopefully the encouragement will help a little bit.

I wish I had more time/energy to write praise...i just seem to let it go. I am a bad lesbian. But I do send money to worthy causes.

Well, I have the time and energy, but not the money necessarily. :) It only took a minute, and I hope it offsets some of the flack I'm sure the station has gotten.

You just do the best you can with what you have and where you are. That's applicable to everything.
