back though probably not as active as life is about to go extreme hectic starting this weekend witha birthday party and dress shopping and next weekend we head for oxford for a weekend of wedding stuff.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that Rox felt she was one step ahead of an angry lynch mob and, discretion being the better part of valor, high-tailed it out of town 'til things quiet down a bit.

I'm back after several days of lacking TV channel selection (couldn't watcht he last episode of The Next Ultimate Fighter ), no porn (had to use my imiagination ), hours upon hours of poker (I'm up $100, which is down $500 from where I peaked), and tons of driving around and up and down the coast of New Jersey.

I'm here tonight and tomorrow morning but will likely be out of communication for several days. I check into the hospital at noon tomorrow to get my airways opened up. That way Hot Mama will be able to sleep better without my snoring (something that should be a relief to the rooms on either side of my in Chicago), I'll hopefully be able to dive better and perhaps the additional oxygen to the brain at night will ward off any more dementia than I already have. Hope to be back Wednesday-ish.

As you may have noticed, I'm here a little less lately. That's not just due to the holidays, though I will be less involved during them, as I want to spend time with my family. But also I have been nursing a sick wife a bit, so there is that, too. Thankfully, she has been getting better, so I have hopes of her full recovery.
Also, stepping back from the politics for a short time and its obvious annoyances doesn't hurt. I've been on a shorter fuse on those issues lately, and some of my fellow AHers have tended of late to get on my last raw nerve. So I have been taking a breather on the political threads to cool off a tad.
