Early Monday morning I will put my coffee cup in the holder of the wagon and head north. Eventually, J and I will arrive in Edmonton, Canada where we will board a plane for the North. I'm talking about the Northwest Passage North. North of the mainland. I hope to check back in around the 31st. I ain't gone, yet, jes givin' warnin', y'unnerstan'. Ah wiyall be back!
 

Hoppin' an ironbird tomorrow, a goin' to see if this old feller still has the legs, stamina and (more importantly) desire required for one of the Sawatch 14ers. If'n I hain't back in a coupla weeks, you'll know the answer.

Shoot. I started this thread partly in the hope that when someone hadn't been around for a while somebody would notice and post it and others would post expressions of concern. Then should the person return, they would know that their presence was missed. The thing is, we are always all so focused on our own concerns, some of which involve the people who are in front of us on a daily basis online or IRL, that it's too easy to not notice the people who aren't there.

I notice that Vana's not around, that Lou popped in for a visit but isn't around, that Dar has done the same, that SDes, some kittens, some jammies and a few others aren't around, and I miss them. I'm sad and a bit guilty that sometime in the past two months I ddn't come here and say, "Where's Jenny?" And to echo the first post in this thread, where's Shang?

Who do you notice hasn't been around for a while?

Oh, poor Jenny. She had struggled so hard to hold onto Linny. I know that Linny had been so ill for so long.

Vana's fine, she posted in Abstrusions this week. Jammies is fine too, I visited her about a month ago. Lou, I think, has interesting things going on in real life. :)
 
Just wanted to say that after tonight I'll be gone on holidays for a week. Not expecting anyone to really miss me though.:rolleyes:
