And probably occupied with gardens and snoofling and oats and apples, stalking Stellyweather, and engaging in other Horseulous things.

And others. Funny though, isn't it, the missing? Even if we aren't very close to a particular person, what's stopping us from letting them know they were thought of? I mean, if we have reason to believe they can be found-ish. It's like a half-hidden appreciation. Imagine finding that upon return! How lovely.

Shoot. I started this thread partly in the hope that when someone hadn't been around for a while somebody would notice and post it and others would post expressions of concern. Then should the person return, they would know that their presence was missed. The thing is, we are always all so focused on our own concerns, some of which involve the people who are in front of us on a daily basis online or IRL, that it's too easy to not notice the people who aren't there.

I notice that Vana's not around, that Lou popped in for a visit but isn't around, that Dar has done the same, that SDes, some kittens, some jammies and a few others aren't around, and I miss them. I'm sad and a bit guilty that sometime in the past two months I ddn't come here and say, "Where's Jenny?" And to echo the first post in this thread, where's Shang?

Who do you notice hasn't been around for a while?

I miss RedHairedandFriendly. Deathlynx is absent too.

I look at all absences as temporary -- even if I know they're not. We may no longer have Colly, but we may meet a new person with some of her wonderful characteristics. Every day, this place changes, and tomorrow is always full of potential.

No single poster holds this place together, and no retreat will make it fall apart. It's like shower fungus: indestructible, but colorful & entertaining.

The Lynxes are a little busy at the moment with little lynxie, and also Granny Lynx is seriously ill. They do check in every so often though.

She is having uberpainful back problems and seeing a specialist for procedures and is on pain meds.......so if she doesn't get back to PM's, emails or texts...you know why.
