Lower oil prices have always given a boost to production. Lowers cost. Lower cost mean more people buying a product. More products sold means more people hired to make additional products.

You can't have it both ways. You can't credit exploration companies for getting around the Feds glacial permitting program, and then turn around and blame Obama because there's too much production.

While I believe that there is something to a US/Saudi strategy to drive down the price of oil, in order to kick Russia and the IS in the wallet nutsack, Obama is not 'crushing' the price of oil. Producers trying to be the last one to lay down a rig or two are the ones crushing the price of oil.

The cure for low prices, is low prices. Just like when it's too high.

We should take the time to jack up the Federal gas tax while oil is cheap, and rebuild some road, rail, and bridge infrastructure.
