In this thread we rank you 3 favorite Tom Cruise movie and you 3 least favorite. Set aside the whole scientology thing and appreciate the man has been cranking out box office winners for 40 years:

Best:
1. Risky Business
2. Jerry Maguire
3. A Few Good Men
(The original Top Gun, All the Right Moves and Rain Man easily)

Worst:
3. Cocktail - had potential to be fun but never fulfilled that potential.
2. Vanilla Sky - good cast. I wanted to like it and I desperately tried to understand it but I guess I wasn't using the right drugs???
1. The Mummy 💩

I could have had plenty of honorable mentions here as well.

Heard the new movie is great, which I didn't really expect. Not sure I have enough interest to get to the theaters.

Ok let's have yours
👀

I don't have the time for my full list, but I enjoyed The Firm a lot, and also Edge of Tomorrow.

Edit: oh - Collateral was good in a quiet way.

Best:
1. Jerry Maguire
2. The Firm
3. Rain Man

Worst:
1. War of the Worlds
2. Eyes Wide Shut
3. Far and Away
Although War of the Worlds wasn't great - it did one thing that is so rare in movies. When he kills the guy in the basement the film made a big deal of it. A human death, even a bad human, being killed?!

Best
Interview with a vampire
Rain man
The Firm

Worst
Vanilla Sky
Eyes wide shut
Cocktail

Top 3, in no particular order:
1. Top Gun - the original (havent seen Maverick yet)
2. Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol (though I enjoyed most MIs too)
3. Jerry Maguire

To consider.
Night and Day
Edge of Tomorrow
Risky Business… many a boys fantasy

Leaving the worst as is

Stumbled on this one today…

With the caveat that Top Gun:Maverick is the first Tom Cruise movie I have seen in more than 18 years (I have a soap box with his name on it over post partum depression).

Best
1. Top Gun (volleyball scene alone puts it at the top)
2. Taps (crazy shaved head cadet made me fall in love with him - don’t judge)
3. Tie - Risky Business (sometimes you just have to say What the fuck - life motto!)
Tie - All the Right Moves (Naked Tom Cruise! Enough said)

Worst
1. Far and Away
2. Days of Thunder
3. Cocktail

@Bry1313 would you like to weigh in here?
Everyone knows his best work was where he was the best but misunderstood and alone but he eventually found himself and listened to others and finally found his way after hitting rock bottom, only to triumph in the end. I love that movie so fucking much.

Best-

Born on the 4th of July
Valkyrie
Days of Thunder

Worst-
The entire Mission Impossible series. It’s supposed to be about the team, Tom!
