As I pointed out in another thread, "Mueller is just about to wrap up and deliver his report within weeks" has been a common, and wrong, narrative for about a year and a half now.Within the next 6-8 weeks. The Mueller findings will be disclosed and Nancy will proceed.

As much as I would love to see Trump impeached, I'd much rather see him at a parade in Dallas like JFK.

He wants the Wall so much, let's lie to him like he has done to us. Tell him the Mexicans have agreed to a payment deal, & parade will be held in TX/near border. When he arrives, group is really his exes, pageant contestants, Stormy & Karen, etc...
No impeachment (waste of time due to assassination)!!
The violent left wishing and dreaming of death again , no surprise there! Two absolute sickos!
. . . Which will never clear the Senate. Exactly as designed...
Dream on, progressives, dream on.
Your dreams of unachievable Utopia are all you will ever have.
I don't want Trump's impeachment to turn into the Obama era's House's attempts to repeal the ACA; sending dozens upon dozens of articles to only die in the Senate.
Everything this House passes will be DOA.
They have decided to destroy and marginalize Trump, not to work with him.
In return, instead of rolling over and asking for a belly rub in the usual Republican manner of "compromise," Trump has simply declared, well, okay, then you get nothing either, ever, we control the Senate and I control the veto pen and we'll see you in 2020 as you explain to the independents and moderates why you chose scorched earth policies instead of being wiling to compromise with the other two-thirds of the legislative process.
That seems to be their plan. Pass a bunch of non-sensical bills that are DOA in the senate let alone getting to Trumps desk in order to appeal to their core constituencies in the inner cities. Considering that the majority of our inner cities are barely third world countries I suppose we can call that, 'catering to the shitholes.'
So is the new congress going to go about the peoples business or merely engaged in the US version of political kabuki theater?

The Republicans did the same thing to Obama; both teams kick into the wind twice a game.
That’s the problem with the higher levels of play in all endeavors.
At some point, the games become predictable and solely focused on capitalizing on errors.
Makes me wonder if we need more complex games, or simpler ones.
Term limits would go a long way to fix a greater portion of the problem. As you have pointed out it's become a game and the game is preservation of power, personal power and the perq's that go along with it. Oh, and strip them of their juicy retirement plans as well. Make certain they're going to have to live in the world they create.
If public service is a calling and not a career, term limits are the obvious tweak. Makes you wonder why they weren’t there from the beginning.
I think the juicy retirement is fair compensation for lost income opportunities, though as a self employed private sector person, i do know people who have benefits beyond what they have actually contributed. I choose to think of them like disability claimants with atv’s. Cheats.
