All evidence I’ve seen indicates the Dem party leadership is all in for Biden even though the poll showed an unnamed Democrat 8 points ahead of Trump. Even Kamala had better numbers against Trump.

Biden is the Democratic candidate for President.

Lots of people don't like that....and lots of people want Democrats to throw their vote so their preferred candidate will win.

In the end, there's only one poll that matters

I wouldn't worry much about the polls because if you follow the trends the best thing for a president's polling numbers is being out of office. Somehow even if things are better today than last year whatever isn't perfect in our lives is the fault of the current president and everything good is the former. Both Bush and Obama's numbers went up when they left office. So Trump is polling better than he should be and I wouldn't stress that.

Then we have the issue of the unnamed Democrat. I don't remember 2004 that well, I didn't have great internet back then. I do remember in 2012 the "Generic Republican" would trounce Obama. But once you started presenting real people not Michael Mc Doesn't Exist things changed and we know how history turned out.
