I'm listening to "Love Song", the acoustic version right now... and I have a TON of their tunes on my playlist...

they're old, but hip, and still so new.. (makes no sense)

My favortie is Painted On My Heart, perfect fo broken heart!

Painted On My Heart
The Cult

I thought you'd be out of my mind
And I'd finally found a way to
Learn to live without you
I thought it was just a matter of time
Till I had a hundred reasons
Not to think about you
But it's just not so
And after all this time
I still can't let go

I've still got your face
Painted on my heart
Scrawled upon my soul
Etched upon my memory baby
And I've got your kiss
Still burning on my lips
The touch of your fingertips
This love so deep inside of me, baby

I was trying everything that I can
To get my heart to forget you
But it just can't seem to
I guess it's just no use
In every part of me
Is still a part of you

I've still got your face
Painted on my heart
Scrawled upon my soul
Etched upon my memory baby
I've got your kiss
Still burning on my lips
The touch of your fingertips
This love so deep inside of me

I've still got your face
Painted on my heart
Painted on my heart
Painted on my heart

Something in your eyes keeps haunting me
I'm trying to escape you
And I know there ain't no way to
To chase you from my mind

I've still got your face
Painted on my heart
Scrawled upon my soul
Etched upon my memory baby
And I've got your kiss
Still burning on my lips
The touch of your fingertips
This love so deep inside of me

I've still got your face
I've still got your face
Painted on my heart
Painted on my heart
Painted on my heart

I Once Danced On The Hood Of

My Ex Boyfriends Firebird To 'Love Removal Machine'!!!

Love That Song:D

I have a friend who sends me lyrics to songs every so often in an email...and sometimes even sends them to my pc as a surprise for me knowing how much I love music. I got this one ages ago and I really like it...even though I was never a huge fan of The Cure.

Pictures Of You

I've been looking so long at these pictures of you
That I almost believe that they're real
I've been living so long with my pictures of you
That I almost believe that the pictures are
All I can feel

Remembering
You standing quiet in the rain
As I ran to your heart to be near
And we kissed as the sky fell in
Holding you close
How I always held close in your fear
Remembering
You running soft through the night
You were bigger and brighter and wider than snow
And screamed at the make-believe
Screamed at the sky
And you finally found all your courage
To let it all go

Remembering
You fallen into my arms
Crying for the death of your heart
You were stone white
So delicate
Lost in the cold
You were always so lost in the dark
Remembering
You how you used to be
Slow drowned
You were angels
So much more than everything
Hold for the last time then slip away quietly
Open my eyes
But I never see anything

If only I'd thought of the right words
I could have held on to your heart
If only I'd thought of the right words
I wouldn't be breaking apart
All my pictures of you

Looking so long at these pictures of you
But I never hold on to your heart
Looking so long for the words to be true
But always just breaking apart
My pictures of you

There was nothing in the world
That I ever wanted more
Than to feel you deep in my heart
There was nothing in the world
That I ever wanted more
Than to never feel the breaking apart
All my pictures of you

~Thanks Ari.

I used to have the cd "Disentigration" with Love Song and Pictures of You on it. I loved that cd. I also really liked "Plain Song", the very first song on there, really sad one with all the windchimes in the beginning.

"Feels so cold, like the cold as if you were dead...then you smile for a second. Sometimes you make me feel like I'm living at the edge of the world. It's just the way I smile you said"

Something along those lines. It's been about 7 years now since I've listened to it...lost it.

Tori Amos did a cover of Love Song...I loved her version but she made it into a very hauntingly sad song with a deep sense of longing...where The Cure's version, though beautiful in it's own right, had a sort of pop feel to it. I'm a sucker for sad songs that make me think about the past and want to stand under one of those Acme falling anvils.
