What if you are a politician and you are benignly corrupt? Your intentions are pure, good and honest and have been all your life, you’ve been a Boy/Girl/to-be-determined Scout, J.D. Vance comes to mind, but, in the current political environment, you get into office only to discover that the only way to good is to go along with the corruption to get along with the corruption and attempt to advance the good (who in politics doesn’t come to mind on that one? Other than, say, Secretary Clinton…)?
