There's dozens and dozens of gay bars in Manhattan alone, not to mention the other boroughs! It really depends on what kind of guys you're interested in. There's leather, twinks, bears, country... It depends on your scene. You could try hanging out around Greenwich Village and seeing what places or people catch your eye.

If you don't care at all about the kind of guys you pick up, try Rawhide at 8th and W 18th in Chelsea. At least I think that's the cross street...it's on 8th. Lots of music pumping out of there at all hours.
