Just finished cleaning up from a BBQ held at my house for a sort of informal Mothers Support group that my wife belongs to. 15 mothers, (only 4 fathers showed up, no wonder the wives need support.
) and about 28 kids all running around my yard. The street was a sea of minivans and the back yard was a larger sea of plastic Little Tykes toys, paper cups, plates, napkins, forks, spoons, crushed cupcakes, empty drinkboxes and folding chairs, half eaten hotdogs, stray flip flops, escaped cheese puffs and plastic sippy cups.
Took 1 hour to set up and 3 to clean up. Ugh.
But it all went well and everyone had a good time, especially the kids. Would have been nice if a few of the husbands got off their asses once and a while and came to some of these parties but that's the wives battle, not mine.
Now I'm sitting down with a large bowl of ice cream to relax.
