I see a lot of game threads, and others that have thousands of posts.

I'm not criticizing, just wondering.

I visit both and the best way I could describe the difference would be bar hoppers to cheers patrons. The GB would be the bar hoppers because they like to be constantly moving with the environment constantly changing. The Playgrounders and their longer threads would be the cheers patrons because what they seek is that easy familiarity that comes with a place where everyone knows your name.

When I first came to lit it was at the coercion of a friend. I had about had enough of flaming, ripping and slamming people on the internet. I was tired of good debates being turned into school yard name calling fights. The lighter side of the playground appealed to me at that time. I've had some good discussions over here and chased some of my interests, but one interest was missing and that was debate...serious discussion. That is when I strayed to the GB.No matter where I happen to be on any given night I am sure that any one of my varied interests can be met between the two boards.

We all find the shoes that seem to feel and fit us the best. I just happen to be one of those people that loves all kinds of shoes.

The slower response time actually works for me. I'm on dial-up and when I visit the GB I see things I want to respond to but by the time I try to say something it's already been said a half dozen times by someone else. One has to be quick over there.
