If I ever find a girl that cook duck like this

Please use only a good quality Seville orange marmalade for the glaze. You won't be disappointed.

Is duck similar to anything? I'm not sure I've had it. I have many things off the path.

Similar to, but usually more moist and tender than chicken. Deeeee-lish. Every bit as good as Zumi's photos portray.

And when it's done right, it's so hard to decide which style is most deelish. I think barbecued is most common. Nothing wrong with that at awl, but...I like it when I discover chefs or recipes that flip the script a lil' bit.

Wild goose maybe. Duck is known for a heavy fat layer under the skin. So much that it is quite unhealthy, far more so than chicken skin. But without it, it is a game meat meaning quite lean and susceptible to overcooking. Never had wild duck. Farm raised is not what I would call gamey.

Gamey just means it has taste. Domesticated animals are bred to be large and the taste suffers. Like the diff between wild strawberries (tiny and tasty) and Cali grown supermarket strawberries (huge and not near as sweet and tasty).

Lots of folk soak game meat like wild rabbit in a brine solution over night to lessen the taste. Admittedly I prefer it brined.
