if a picture...

Sappiness is good. I still like that album and carry around a cassette tape in my car. ;)

showing my age and my sappiness.
in early highschool I LOVED that side of That album (Best of Bread) the best sappy slow dance material.

You know, there's a reason why the most enduring music is predominantly love songs and ballads. Any song that can reach out and turn on the "sappiness tap" will never really go out of style or have an age limit on who it touches.

My wife and I saw David Gates and Bread live in concert a few years ago. Magic! Add me to the sapiness quotient fans.

I have bittersweet memories...more sweet than bitter...of dances. holding a girl close. a thigh between hers. hand on a shoulder, one on the small of her back. her head on my shoulder. all the while being deathly afraid that she didn't really like me and this is the closest I would ever be to a girl.

I found a diary underneath the tree and started reading about me (David Gates)

P.S.- I started this thread thinking of really wanting to paint again. (time limits me to drawing)

Make time.

HEHEHHEEee!
I am.
however, to fabricate time where there is none...actually TAKES time.

I am preparing for it by accomplishing other tasks..more mundane ones...it is a goal and a priority.

Hmm... the first comment almost seems to contradict the second to some level, doesn't it? ;)

When are you Americans going to learn how to spell ARSE correctly? ;)

Rhino, there's your problem. You spend more time thinking than doing. ;)

*hugs* hope you're doing okay.

The Mistress Procrastination is an incredible creature. She'll catch you out wherever you are.

Set yourself a time a small reasonable amount of time and begin the painting. If it's something you want to do then it's important that you do it. :)

...sorry I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the worthwhile threads as yet. I didn't know about the move. I think it's wonderful! Good for you! :)

rhino,
I know you can do it when you set aside even a little time. You always amaze me when you put out so many good drawings so quickly. Once you get through this busy spell you will find the time. I think we would all love to see a painting by you! Especially something "Rubenesque" as BT said.

A large sensuous oil painting.......she...on a sumptuous bed of comforters and pillows in rich colors...round white ass...full breasts spreading slightly beneath her weight...eyes sparkeling back.

sensuous, she, sumptuous, comforters, pillows, rich, round, ass, full, breasts, spreading slightly...

Man, this description is still haunting me.

She

Sensuous
sumptuous comforter
plump pillow
rich colours
round white ass
full breasts
sparkling eyes.
She.

not a big fan of Rubens, but i follow your MEANING. perhaps a BIT more Boucher or Cabanel....perhaps Bouguereau..though i expect to be a bit more rough around the edges.

Regardless...she will have form and volume.

I did a little search on those as their names were not familiar.
Thank you for pointing me to some beautiful works of art.

I think I like Boucher best. Cabanel is maybe a bit too slick. Is that what you mean by more rough around the edges?

That is funny, you saying that.

I had some painting / drawing / etching classes and I always felt that I worked some of my things to death because they became too smooth.

Maybe a "perfect" picture, but no personality left.

The same goes for my writing. I know some of my sentences are not completely right, but they are "me".

I know, I'm an arrogant bitch.
sometimes

:D

I did take a look and I see what you mean. Plastic is the right word I think.

As if it's sealed.

I found a Boris Vallejo. Pin up type things.
Hehehe, look at my AV's, who's talking big here?
But then, I never use those made with CG.
