What's the big deal to it? What's the difference between that and IRC? Do you have it? Should I have it?

Please indulge me...

Lo

Best thing is that even when your offline people can send ya messages that you will get when you go back online.

I had it, didn't like it , and it is the easiest way to get a bug in your puter.

ICQ is an instant messenger, as in... similar program to MSN, AIM, Yahoo Messenger, etc.

ICQ was at the forefront of things. Like all other instant messengers, you should only get it if you need it... ala, if you know people who have it already. Otherwise, it'll just take up space.

ICQ is a messenger programer, typically 1 on 1.

IRC is a channel with a room full of people.

ICQ blows chunks, it didn't always. Get Yahoo Messenger, Yahoo rocks. Anything associated with AOL blows chunks.

that's one of the things I've heard bad about it, what's good about it, besides offline messages?

I've got MSN, and Yahoo already, and since my one cousin refuses to use anything else, I've got AIM installed as well. And yes, I've got Trillian installed to take care of everything.

I don't know what IRC is.

I only know what ICQ is cause someone had me download it.

It freaked me out and now it's gone.

i had it years ago... liked it at first but prefer msn or yahoo IMs .....dont have icq now and probably wont get it again either.
