Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronupukokaiwhenuakitanatahu.

Imagine having that as part of your address!

:)

[Edited 'cause some smart ass managed to spot a spelling mistake :)]

Sounds like somewhere in the southern Pacific ocean.... not the worst place to live though.

Sounds like a good place to be shipwrecked, ala Mutiny On The Bounty. or Gilligans Freakin Island...

Good morning Rex. :)

A true fact. :)
It is the name of a hill (300 m) in the neighbourhood of Waipukurau, Central Hawke’s Bay, North Island, New Zealand

http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Port/2470/pics/longname.html

One of the longest place names in the world and translates roughly as, 'The place where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, who slid, climbed, and swallowed mountains, known as land eater, played his flute to his loved one.'

Did he get big knees from rugburn-:p

Damned Debbiexxx. Always spoiling things by giving the answers before anyone's really had a chance to get them and then posting a link....

It's enough to make me think of moving to Y or U.

:)

I am a spoiler? LOL This name is from my own country! :)

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch
Welsh town translated as:
The church of St. Mary in the hollow of white hazel trees near the rapid whirlpool by St. Tysilio's of the red cave.

And here's the name of Bangkok (Krungthep) in Thai:

Krungthepmahanakonbowornratanakosinmahintarayudyayamahadiloponoparatanarajthaniburiromudomrajniwesmahasatarnamornpimarnavatarsatitsakattiyavisanukamphrasit.

Although I would move if I lived in the Danish towns of Sæd (sperm) or Tarm (Intestine).

If I lived in Leeuwarden I wouldn't have to worry about spelling it right - it has been recorded in 225 versions since AD 1046.

Shakespeare spelled his own name in 7 different ways (Shakspear, Shakespere, etc) - although he never spelled it Shakespeare!

Cotedebeaune, No problem. It's easy to get those two confused :)

What I want to know is, whatever happened to '6' in West Virginia? Did they change the name after 'The Prisoner' came out?

:)

I think if you live in Canada, today you'll want to move... it's -37 celsius in Ottawa with the wind chill. I'll be back on the BB when I hit Cali:D

First 4, then 8, and now, 6. Fucking hell...

It depends on which day of a week, doesn't it.

My family had friends in Webster, Mass who lived along Lake Chagogagogmanchagogagogchabunagongamong

I probably spelled it wrong, but it's close.
