I wish there was a “Bi” category

We've heard that a lot around here. Doesn't seem to be happening though.
So many carve outs from categories would be a benefit but there's the work of it and the "where do you stop?"

Gosh knows I want my interests carved out and I feel for those who feel similarly or even more strongly.

Yeah, I'd like the "freaky lady crying havoc and releasing the dogs of war" category. That'd be bitch raining down hell on unsuspecting men, women, trans's, or others.

Yes, we have the tag but not the category, and, often, some readers in any category don't like or appreciate a bi-story in the category.

Of all the 'maybe, should be, why don't we have?' categories it does seem that bi is the most obvious for inclusion.

Surely there has to be a female bisexual category - so hot, right?

And a male bisexual category - eew!

This is Lit after all and there is gay, then there is gay.

Em

You might be able to put bisexual women in about any category. OK, maybe not in Lesbian, and I'd be careful about Romance. The problem seems to be with bisexual guys.

Tags are your friend. Bisexual is a fairly common tag in EC, at least over the last 30 days. The tag cloud for group lists quite a few variants of bisexual. That doesn't mean readers won't balk at your story, but it might mean that you aren't alone. At a minimum, you should probably warn readers if there's bi male contact in your story.

Another conundrum is where to post stories where there are two different couples having sex, one male and female and the other two female. If it doesn't fit Loving Wives, Group Sex, E & V, Incest Taboo, Romance, one of the other niche categories or is too vanilla for Fetish, should it go in Lesbian Sex or Erotic Couplings?

I wish there was a category where it was expected that someone would have sex with both men and women or at the same time etc.
Deffently something I'm into, I love pussy, but I like a little cock once in a while like threesome, I like a nice big cock in my mouth also

Yeah, it's a problem for me, but I just stick the stories in the closest fit, tag them up, sometimes add a warning to read the tags before diving in, and it keeps the haters away.

The Gay Male category don't object to women joining in. The Lesbian category is ok with the odd m/f sex if it's signalled and not 'women only fucking each other until a guy shows up'. Group, again, alert them that there may be crossing swords, and the haters nope out and readers are OK. Same for BDSM and Fetish.

Obviously there aren't that many remaining readers, but it would be worse in a bisexual category that very few looked at. And then half would complain they didn't want that kind of bisexual or icky kink...

Women being mentioned as bi, but who don't have M-F sex scenes within the story, should be fine in Lesbian. There may be a few biphobic readers there but mostly they seem to have the good sense to go read something else.

If there is actual M/F in the story, basically what @Kumquatqueen said. IRL many lesbian women have slept with a guy at some point in their lives in the course of figuring out their orientation, and a story which acknowledges that without making it a major theme would probably be okay. If it's more "hot bi babe seduces women so her husband can fuck them too", Group would be a much better place for it.

Why doesn't it fit any of those? If the couples are married it can fit LW (I reject the idea that LW must be about cheating or burning). If the two couples swap or have sex together, GS works, or just in the same room, it can fit GS or EV. If it's just each couple having sex separately, probably EC.

I wish there were a category where the readers knew they should expect married extra-marital fun, swinging, sharing, etc.

Oh, wait ... we've discussed that one to death.

Put the stories wherever, and just use tags to spell out the different activities.

My latest story has the tags: swingers, wife, sharing, friend, Threesome, anal sex, blow job, oral sex, cum swallowing, first time. And I have the two male characters discussing the wife being bi and her old boyfriend preferring guys.

Regardless of which category you choose, there will always be some who don't like it (just more so in LW).

Yes, even the incels don't get upset with a girl-boy-girl story as long as the boy gets in on the action.
