I was shocked by the phne call tonight

I been doing a small talk tv program 2 times a month on local cable access that goes out to about maybe 5-6 communities under a 75 mile radius and one night a week I do a talk radio on the local station that goes out to maybe a little more than the cable tv does.

for the most parts its been fun and a learning process, dealing live on air with people of diferents view points than I and what not.

Well the phone call tonight asked if I wanted to do a weekly talk tv program on local cable tv in houlton maine possible more if it takes off.

Not to say I am not flattered, but more taken aback that anyone would willingly want to listen to me. let alone inport me into the Us esepcially with some of the stuff I say about governement programs pubs and dems.

I never gave an answer, I told them I would think it over. I am still a bit shocked over the whole thing

If this is something you like and want to pursue; perhaps this jump gives you the opportunity. Maybe it feels too early to do more as you dont seem entirely comfortable with it. But, at times life pulls us along and we just kinda go with it.

much like I do now I tape it in my house on a cam corder betamax and drop it off here at the local community college for local cable out play, this would be dropped of at the duty free shop at the border and they would play it on the local cable.

If its like when its played here it will be like 3 in the morning, shich makes me all the more curious about who was watching at that time and directed it to these people attention

Yeah I know where Houlton Maine is, its a bout a 60 minute walk out my door. a dead and dying town once Walmart moved in and basically killed all the local business.

The whole of Arroostook County has been dying since the 1970s. It accelerated a bit when they closed Loring AFB up in Limestone in 1994 but it was on it's way anyhow.

I was back up there this summer and there aren't many teens or 20-somthings left up there. It's quickly becoming a huge retirement community. The jobs just don't exist up there. I keep running into more and more people from up there down here around Boston.

The mall in Presque Isle had more impact than the Walmart did. Everyone used to go down to Houlton to go shopping. Now they go up to Presque Isle from Houlton.

It's about as far from me in Pittsfield as Pittsfield is from Lewiston/Auburn or maybe Portland....gotta check my map too..lol

If it is something you want to do, why than, why not?

One never knows what a thing like that can lead to. Whatever that maybe i have no doubt you can handle it and if you don't like it later you can always quit.
Life with out an adventure unsought from time to time is dull and boring and causes one to hunt trouble by way of unconscious reflex action. (what the hell did i just say?)
