and I missed it! Didn't hear what I sound like....shit-nervous, reading a letter with a shaking voice and making a total pratt of my-self.

What did you do? Were you interviewed?

All I did was read out a letter, couldn't even do that and yet I've appeared on stage in live theatre......go figger.

There was a special for the company I used to work for. They interviewed the big wheels. A cameraman shot me while I did some demolition work. He asked me why I worked for them (doing inner city housing renovations), and I had no idea his mike was on - I thought he was making conversation while shooting some footage. We had a good chat, and it seems a lot of it made it on the air.

Those pricks never even told me they had a tape of it, and I hope that it galled them that I got as much airtime as they did.

I suppose that I could. It was shot in April of 1997, though, and it may have made past the "use before" date. I could call the station, I guess.

I'm sure I had less gray hair then, too.

I was on the news once. No I didn’t break any laws. There was a big thing at my sisters school and all the parents went to find out what was going on. Well the principal wouldn’t call on me because the look on my face was not one of joy. He made it so obvious that the news crews started to pick up on it and when the press conference ended I was surrounded by press asking me questions.

The house my company finished renovating last spring made the front page of the Real Estate section of the local paper. It was in a huge article about my customer. We were mentioned exactly no times.

The house looked really good, too. It photographed very nicely.

i have a couple of songs on my cd that get some air play in austin on the number one morning show in the area. (was that subtle enough braggin' for you?) it's the show i listen to and it always freaks me out a little when i first hear myself. the song they play the most is not one of my favorite it just happens to be the title track so i don't think i sound all that good on it but it does get air play and has sold a bunch of cds locally so i can't complain too much.

i used to know why you sound different to yourself that what you hear on tape...something to do with the resonance of your skull and sinuses and all that. evidently nobody in the world likes the way they sound on tape.

I've been on tv a few times for different shows. It was nerve racking at first bt after a while you get used to the cameras. I don't have any copies of the shows though, it never occured to me to get copies.

I have seen several videotapes of me singing onstage...and I cringe every time. No matter how I look, I always find SOMETHING wrong.

It's strange to suddenly see yourself (or hear yourself) from another point of view, isn't it?

years back I was working about 120 miles out of town.
I'd work till a little bit after 5 o'clock but bill the company till 6..
stop at the BEER STORE before heading to the motel.
on the way into the store got ambushed by a suit with a microphone and another with a camera, asking me if I knew the GOV"T had raised alcohol tax , and what I thought about it....?

being from out of town I shot my mouth off..no good at making my own booze,I'm a terrible smuggler, freaking gov't just want's more SIN taxes and poor bastards like myself pay..YADA< YADA.
Walk into the motel room,twist open a beer , turn on the T.V. and shit here I am on the 6 o'clock news....repeated at 11 o'clock..
also picked up by the local station back home..
the guy's at work sure teased and laughed the next day, just glad the boss was too ignorrant to watch the news..
