I want to start wearing nail polish in public again

I used to wear it on my thumbs, and then I got bold and did all 10 fingers. I loved the feeling of having it on and seeing it. I used glitter nail polish, it had lots of purple in it. This was all 5 months ago. I want to start again, but I don't know what to tell my aunt and uncle who I live with now when they notice.

Perhaps if you're in a situation where you can't wear obvious nail polish, you could just wear clear? Plenty of women do, I can't wear obvious nail polish because of my job, and clear/beige/iridescent are all fine for me.

I recommend iridescent - it looks almost like white or silver in the bottle, but when you put it on it is almost clear. But when the light hits it right you will see a bit of color, usually pale purple or blue...that way you could see it sometimes too and it wouldn't be too obvious! If you are not sure what color to pick, just ask someone for help, you can say it's for your girlfriend if you want.

You know how straight goth and emo boys will wear black nail polish and eyeliner and whatnot? Tell your aunt and uncle that your nail polish is a new fad with the type of music you listen to. They probably won't know the difference.

i'm pretty close to just outting myself and living my life how i feel it should be left. Jennifer you can either lie to your aunt and uncle or you can let them know whats up. Lieing might be easier but telling the truth may make you feel better. up to you!
