and post a link but change it so it doesn't appear as a web addy, but as a word. How do I do that?

You're welcome. Just don't forget to replace the brackets and the equal sign (=) actually stays in there with no spaces on either side of it.

Even easier: Above the posting window, there should be a box labeled " http:// ". Follow its directions and it will put the code in for you.

However, if you have a stingy pop-up blocker, it won't work.

You can also just hit the Http :// button (it's up by the Image button, the color and font buttons) in the reply screen.

you hit it once and a little box pops up that says: Script Prompt Enter the text to be displayed for the link (optional).. type the word/s there that you want.. then hit OK

another box pops up that says: Script Prompt Enter the full URL for the link. And it has the http :// already there.. you just type the rest of the URL and hit OK.

For me it's easier to just keep typing than it is to stop and mouse. I guess I could tab up to it, but that would drive me apeshit. I pretty much type all my coding on here, with the exception of colors cuz I can't ever remember what they're named. Plus it annoys me when it pops my code to the bottom, when what I'm trying to effect is at the top or in the middle.

good points.. it does get annoying to cut and paste the code to where you want it in the post.
