Things got a little crazy on Friday night, and my wrist has really been hurting me these past 2 days. It hurts to try to open things with that hand or to put pressure on it, but I can move it no problem.

Do I need to get it checked out, or will it heal on its own?

Sprained wrists will heal on thier own, but I suggest limiting movement with it, and perhaps wrapping it snuggling with an ace bandage.

The more you use it, the longer it will take. However, if it's still bugging you after limiting movement, and resting it, I'd suggest going in to get it looked at.

Thomas Jefferson broke his wrist in 1786--it bothered him until his death 40years later. Some say he tripped while walking, others say he jumped over a fence to impress the married woman he was courting. He never played the violin again.

My wrist is moderately dislocated and has been that way for 18months. partly because I haven't sought medical attention. It limits my daily functions. I've also broken my carpal navicular bone before--I didn't have a cast on until 10weeks later--it took another 9weeks in a full arm cast. However, unless some cataclysmic instance occurred, with rest it should heal on its own.

If you're addicted to LIT--use your mouse with the opposite hand.

Lol- to be honest with you, I'm not quite sure how it happened. It could have been at the party, or in the penthouse hot tub afterwards, or even ummm, during "other things".

Thanks for the advice, Gilly.

70/30, it's my right wrist that hurts and I'm a lefty, so no problem with the mouse.
