I request a certain author have his stories re-reviewed

I felt this would be the best place to post this, so I apologize if this isn't the correct category to post this in.

I request that the author Dicky27 have his stories re-reviewed on the grounds that they lack any distinction between dialogue and narration, making it impossible to read. I messaged him personally about it, and too his credit he has started using quotation marks since but his already posted stories remain the same. I've even sent site feedback about it but they won't respond and my patience is getting thin.

I looked at two of his stories and grammatically speaking, it was a horrible thing to try and read. But in those two stories, I didn't see anything as I scrolled through that would violate and of the few rules here.

However, he does have followers and his story scores are in the high 3's to low 4's, so some folks are enjoying it. He even has a couple over the 4.5 mark. So he's satisfying some of his readers.

I'm not sure why you care so much. Move on, there are other authors here.

It's up to the author whether they could be bothered with editing their stories. If they don't want to, there's nothing you can do about it.

Another way to look at it is there’s nothing you should do about it either.

There has to be more to the story, but no, that’s NOT a request to hear what it is. Please don’t elaborate.

Stories from the past and even today slip through various cracks. At times they are clear violations of rules lit has on things like rape, violence, underage, and at times its mistakes and misspellings, etc.

Personal vendettas, stirring up echo chambers, forming (virtual) mobs with torches and pitchforks unfortunately happens here, and it’s unfortunate.

You have a way to vote (once) and give the story a bad rating. You’re entitled to that vote. Use that.

I care because I'm interested in reading some of his stories but can't because their lacking of separation between dialogue and narration make it impossible. That shit exists for a damn reason.

You can't post stories here without them being reviewed first. I got a story rejected once because 2 characters had their dialogue in the same paragraph.

Yes, but you're asking for stories that have been vetted and allowed through the process, to be revisited.

The only thing you can do is report the stories, which either results in the site saying, so what, who cares? and they stay as is. Or, the site pulls the stories down - which bounces them back to the author to "fix" them, and if the author doesn't give a fuck, they stay down forever and no-one gets to read anything at all.

You're on a dead end crusade. It's wholly down to the author - your desires as a reader are, to be brutal, irrelevant. That's the way of it.

I'll be honest, in my opinion these stories are basically unreadable. If you're excited by the fetishes this author is into, you should just look for better writers working in the same genres.

@SinclairGroupLLP writes epic interracial stories, his ouvre is impressive, and he's actually a skilled writer who knows what plot and dialog are

You can also post in the Looking For A Story forum and ask for story and author recommendations that match your interests, and you'll probably get some good suggestions!

Everybody has the right to submit terrible stories without caring what you think as a reader. Good luck to them. You, as a reader, have the right to choose how to spend your valuable time. I think you'll have more people trying to teach people on TwitterX to use you're rather than your than to have these messes fixed up. As Penny suggested, find some good authors who write stuff that you enjoy.
