On a more real note, I was wondering when lit was going to catch up with the times.

Other forums I visit have similar formats and while they took me some getting used to, I find them far easier to use than the old lit.

Looks like it is trying to emulate phpBB more...Can get used to it. If you go into edit options there are all kinds of ways to customize things.

But I think like anything else, change is hard but we should be a pretty open group, Laurel and the team worked hard to make it nicer for us...Give them a little slack in any case. I am sure they had their reasons for the change.

I can tell y'all the reason for the change... The older version of vBulletin software that Lit was running is no longer supported. They HAD to upgrade to the newer version to stop board crashes and such.

How do I know this? It happened to Master's site several months ago (we use the same forum software) and I even pm'd MissT about at the time to have her let Laurel and Manu know about the problems with the older version.

So, I hate to be the one to say this but the old Lit is not coming back... at least not the exact way it was. With LOTS of work and modification I'm sure it can look very close to the old Lit but with the newer functions.

When you sign in, the radio button that says "remember me?" is ALWAYS enabled so you have to click it to un-enable it or it will remember you, which is a pain in the butt if you have a shared computer. So if you see me saying anything really weird and Dommey, it's not not me! It's Kat and I forgot to fix the "remember me" thing when I logged in last. You know, I'd bitch to my network administrator about the issues we're having with the network, but she IS the administrator...
