I gave up at christmas and found that the patches didn't work for me.
I use normal minty chewing gum and write stories. I find this keeps my mind and my hands busy. It also stops me eating.

I never even bothered with the patches. I had it on the good authority of another to not even try.

I have been using the nictotine replacement gum, though, and I find that helps an awful lot. As you said, chewing gum does stop you eating. I have been writing a lot, too.

Seems like this is quite a good tried and tested method to quit.

Good on you for gving up at Christmas, that must've been tough.
