I really do. I love to put on my favorite suit and go to a place in the city with a dress code with a lovely lady on my arm in her stunning little black dress. I don't know what it is. I don't think clothes make the man, but they sure make me feel like the man. There is just something about being in a tailored suit and going out for a night on the town that makes me feel wonderful, like the world is perfect and I'm perfect in the world.

Me in my favorite suit. (and it aint my birthday one, either)

I really hate dress codes ... hate getting dressed up.

When I saw the UK .... it pissed me off to no end that to get into any place .. you had to wear dress shoes, slack and what not.

No place would let you wear jeans except pubs .. which closed at 11pm.

I don't own a suit .. will never buy one.

Dressing up nice for me is a pair of black jeans and a comfortable shirt. Sometimes cowboy boots .. others .. combat boots ... especially with my cargo pants/shorts

Certain dress codes I do disagree with.

I don't know about the U.K. never been there, but around here the only after hours(after 2am) places I know are private clubs with strict dress codes.

How do you go to weddings and funerals without a suit?

Dressing up for me is a finely tailored double-breasted suit, a collarless shirt with a stud instead of a tie, a pair of wingtips, and a nice camelhair or leather overcoat.

It just makes me feel like: "Damn, I look good."

I've always thought that getting all dressed up makes an evening feel a bit special. Something about looking in a mirror and thinking, "not too shabby" just puts me in a good mood. I love the chances I have to pull out all the stops with my attire.

I've got a couple of nice suits, sharp shirts, ties, even a tux, but to be honest I like getting undressed and staying in even more. :p

Getting dressed up makes the undressing part all the better. I've had to have more than one suit cleaned and pressed after it spent a night on the floor.

I have been told that I dress up pretty well. I have also been told I have no taste and I'm color blind. These opinions were expressed by different women.

I know I have good taste - I divorced my ex.

Actually, I despise dress occassions. I feel goofy and invariably I end up having to stop at the grocery store or pump gas in a gown. I dress for work every day. On my days off I wanna wear jeans and not even look at a pair of hose!

I Avoid them ... if I do go ... I wear jeans. Might as well be comfortable.

That sucks. If my date and I are going for a night on the town all dress, she gets door to door service, to avoid just such inconveniences. I try to be a gentlemen.

I'm mostly a jeans-and sneakers-and-polo-shirt type person, but some days I like to just dress really well (heels, stockings, make-up, hair curled), especially for a concert or nice dinner, but even if I am just going to the mall or walking around the park.

I don't mind pumping gas when I am dressed up. The only part that sucks was once having to change a flat tire while I wearing a skirt and heels, but that was taken care of pretty quickly - I was on the interstate during rush hour, and 3 cars pulled over to help (one was a marked police car, so I didn't feel too nervous). I am certainly not going to argue with someone who insists on changing a flat for me (you want the fun, go riiiiiiiiiight ahead).

AND I get to dress up tomorrow! I have a job interview in the morning! Now if only I could find my iron.....
